Destiny has come a long way. The PS4 vs Xbox One console war is looking more and more like a one horse race. Fallout 4 gameplay will be shown to the press by Bethesda at E3 next month behind closed doors, according to a report. The most desirable object in Destiny remains elusive to so many players, even after s of hours played. Project Cars has been tested and the critics are giving it positive reviews all over the internet. Destiny: House of Wolves does a great deal more than just slap some new content on the existing game structure.

It is one that we can pay off via what the player is doing in the missions. Barrett conceded that Bungie will still be adding Grimoire cards to provide deeper lore for those who want it, but the main thrust of the story is all there.

Everything about expansion two for Bungie’s “shared world shooter” Destiny makes sense to me. The changes to the competitive multiplayer portion of the game we reported on last week give PvP, for the first time, a proper endgame. The new upgrade system means any Legendary or Exotic weapon and armour piece can be made level 34 – without it losing progression. And the new Prison of Elders arena mode, revealed by Bungie today, is a cool twist on wave-based fighting and a lot of fun for three-player Fireteams.
But, having played Prison of Elders, I just can’t shake the sense of disappointment about House of Wolves not adding a new Raid. Bungie has its reasons and I get them.

A cleverer, more creative, more thoughtful expansion than The Dark Below, House of Wolves is Destiny at its best, with a host of fresh improvements. There’s a moment in one of House of Wolves’ campaign missions that is pure Halo. I won’t spoil too much, but here’s the gist: you emerge onto a wide-open field of battle. A fleet of alien ships hang in the sky. A few of them peel off, descend, and deploy troops in a semi-circular arc ahead of you.
The music picks up. Choose a direction. It’s a scenario straight out of Bungie’s classic playbook: the open arena, the shooter refactored as a strategic puzzle game where your finesse, situational awareness and cunning allow you to line up and eliminate enemies like Bejewelled gems. Both Destiny ‘s launch campaign and The Dark Below leaned a little too heavily on corridors packed with bullet-sponge foes: House of Wolves learns that lesson, furnishing you with five new missions each with its own memorable set-piece battle.
They are, however, rather brief. Destiny’s dip-in, dip-out structure still struggles to ground you in an ongoing campaign. You’re encouraged to flit from one activity to the next – and there are many good reasons to do so, as I’ll get to. As a result these well-designed missions feel a little like vignettes rather than parts of a cohesive whole.

Not bad for a game that was often maligned for not having enough content. That obsession disappeared with The Dark Below. The expansion compounded the original game’s problems by making the base game’s hard-won gear obsolete. This knowledge was enough for me to excuse myself from those months of daily play and wait for the promised second half of the game’s first season of extra content.
That second update, House of Wolves , is here, and it carries the unenviable baggage of needing to expand on the game proper while also fixing the problems its predecessor introduced. The first major indicator that Bungie had this in mind is The Reef.

I do like this design as well. Each circle filling up as you complete more of the task. Thus filling in the inner circle as well upon completion. After Sept 9th there is no chance anyone will be able to get this emblem ever again.
In short, if the year one hard core players do everything in Destiny they will get this. People love to prove they are the best. From my time in Destiny I have found there to be 2 kinds of Destiny players. And most importantly it forces communication between players which can create friendships. This is where we segway into a more controversial part of Destiny. Why there is no match making in Raids or other high level activities.

Destiny New Update Brings Weekly Heroic Matchmaking
Notably, prison keys drop upon the completion of certain bounties, and chests have a higher chance of dropping a key. I adjusted my score accordingly, yet there are still nagging issues with this game no checkpoints in Prison and unfair matchmaking in Trials. While this is nothing new for the franchise, Bungie has opted for a new challenging horde-mode conflict The Prison of Elders to compensate for the lack of a new raid. This would be a worthy addition for the ranks of guardians, if an average gamer could actually beat the prison in a reasonable time without putting every single waking second into collecting loot drops.
Also, House of Wolves marks the beginning of a grueling 3-on-3 competitive tournament The Trials of Osiris. Many Destiny gamers have been waiting for a reason to drop the game and its addictive mindset, and these wolves may be the breaking point for most of the Destiny community to never return to the reef or tower.
The new expansion for Destiny, House of Wolves, has been out for two PVP is the least engaged portion of the game, second only to the raids. is by far the most important aspect when having competitive matchmaking.
With the feedback from the original launch and the first DLC pack, The Dark Below, Bungie has been constantly evolving the game through updates to ensure the game keeps delivering the best experience for players. This hub world is packed with everything a Guardian could need, from a Cryptarch to a postmaster. Xur even visited in the first week. After visiting the Reef Hub, you meet with Petra Venj and Variks, two new mission givers that see you embark on a short series of narrative missions across the Earth and Venus. Quite refreshingly, these segments use sections of the world rarely visited, as well as a few new components, to stop it feeling like a repetition of the past. Chasing down the Fallen leader Skolas across the planets was quite a compelling narrative, exploring the fall of the tribes and the different groups that make up one of the forces of darkness.
The final mission sees you assault the spire in the middle of Venus, ending up playing like a mini raid of its own. The Prison of Elders takes the place of a formal raid in House of Wolves, instead pitting teams of three Guardians against five stages of horde mode style combat. Jumping in with a team of friends makes this quite a fun pass time, fighting off waves of enemies while completing a variety of objectives.
